Embrace the Weights is a positive movement showcasing women who are not afraid to lift. This is not aimed at just those that compete in physique competitions and who do CrossFit. This is for any woman who gives their all in the gym and is proud of their physique through weeks, months, and years of training. This is to also educate those who are fearful of picking up weights and letting them know that women who lift look amazing and are not destined to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Ronnie Coleman. Also for those that DO want to take their physiques to the next level, Embrace the Weights encourages you to let the world know that you worked hard for your physique and have nothing to be ashamed of.
For years, women have been told a certain way how to look and one of the most puzzling is that women with muscles are "manly". That couldn't be further from the truth. Women have proven for years that lifting weights alone doesn't make women manly. From American Gladiators and WWE Divas to physique competitors and Crossfitters, and every female whose ever competed in a sport, at one point they have picked up a weight. Embrace the Weights was created to give all fit women of different backgrounds a platform to show the world that women who lift are beautiful and empowering.
